ABCD.app

Simple calculations

About ABCD.app

The ABCD.app was designed originally as a research tool for Ph.D. students to propagate laser beams through simple optical elements. It acquired various capabilities over time such as the ability to calculate resonator modes or model gaussian ducts. It is now a robust program that can be used for teaching and for research.

PositionLead Designer, Calculator, Tester, Coder

MoreAssociate Professor in Neurophotonics at the Centre de Recherche de l'Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale and member of the Optics Center at Université Laval, Prof. Côté makes use of laser beams to construct new devices for Neurosciences and has developed ABCD.app to rapidly validate ideas and to help him for teaching. He is the designer, coder, and tester for ABCD.app and is to be blamed for all typos.
